The Axial Cyclone — Mark 1 is a cyclone separator, designed specifically for the hobbyist woodworker who’s workshop has limited space. Ultra-compact footprint and a legendary pressure-drop rating to maximize the effective CFM of your collector.
Tangential cyclones work well but are highly restrictive, which forces shop owners to upgrade to larger collectors to get adequate air quality. When all you have is a 2-3 Hp collector, the only option is to maximize the available CFM by minimizing drag in your ducting and cyclone setup.
By minimizing abrupt changes in airflow direction, the Axial Cyclone helps your dust collection system move more air and maintain stronger suction at the cutting tool. With a 0.86” H2O pressure drop at 90% separation efficiency — Don’t sacrifice airflow to get high-efficiency.

Completes the Axial Cyclone system. Designed around the cyclone being mounted on a shelf or bench top and the Twist-Top lids being bolted directly beneath it — This provides the most secure and easy to access configuration.

REV 03 is out of date and should be used for experimental purposes. Expect overall poor performance as compared to the current production (physical) version.
Free to download 3D printer files for the Mk.1 Axial Cyclone. Includes all .STL files for the cyclone and twist top kit. User is responsible for 3D printer slicing, material tuning, hardware procurement, and assembly.

Revision Notes:
Rev 03 features improved manufacturability over previous revisions and beta tested new geometry for the “phase 1” planar separator.
Improved airflow over previous revisions.
Easy to 3D print without any supports.
However, Rev 03 does not perform well under large volumes of dust. Expect significantly lower separation efficiency
Current production improves on all of the above performance metrics.
